How much water flows over Niagara Falls?
Niagara Falls is composed of the American Bridal Veil Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The total amount of water flow over all of these falls is 3,160 metric tons every second.
The American Bridal Veil Falls allows 286,745 litres of water/second while the famous Horseshoe Falls in Canada have 2,580,704 litres of water/second go over the crestline of the falls.
Niagara Falls has also been receding for the past 300+ years causing it to move back a little each year.
