Do fish survive going over Niagara Falls?
Niagara Falls is kinder to fish than humans because the body of a fish is capable of enduring the punishing trip over the edge of Niagara Falls. Remember, there are literally tons of water falling over the crest of Niagara Falls every second. A fish body is streamlined and naturally adapted to falls and water pressure. About 90% of the fish that go over Niagara Falls survive.....the other 10% expire within the falls, maybe even from hitting the rocks below.
